3D Secure is a new security system developed to prevent your card information from being used by others to spend money from your card. This is also called three-dimensional security. The name is “Verified by Visa” for Visa and “SecureCode” for MasterCard. After your usual information has been checked and confirmed, your internet browser opens a new window for you to enter your security code. This extra step makes your purchases on the internet safer.
